I've been working so much lately, and my wife has even said that I don't seem to enjoy it as much. And it's true. It's something I HAVE to do, to a point. So with "Barefootin' It", i decided to have fun. Just relax, kick back and play like I had absolutely no purpose.
And this is what came out.
As usual, this was recorded in the Junk Room (at home), using only my digital 8-track, my Fransican 6-string and one old, stand-by SM-58 mic.
Mastered in Waveosaur. A little EQ, slight Stereo spreading, a touch of noise reduction and a ton of Limiting.
I don't use compression a lot these days. Mostly because I mess it up. I'm just bad at using it. But limiting is pretty dummy-proof. And wanting this to be hot, I actually limited to a -10. Something I never, ever do.
But I think it turned out alright.
